Jennifer Lawrence showed off a new haircut on her official Facebook page on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
The 23-year-old actress now has a pixie 'do, following the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Pamela Anderson and Beyonce, who have all been spotted sporting the shorter hairstyle over the last few months.
Earlier in the day, Lawrence appeared with her "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, as well as the film's director Francis Lawrence, in a global Google+ Hangout with fans. She explained the reason behind the haircut during the hangout.
"I just did it to make Francis mad," she joked. Lawrence later said, "It's just fried from being dyed so much.".
The actress is currently promoting "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," the sequel to the 2012 film "The Hunger Games." The two movies are based on a best-selling trilogy of young adult novels. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is set for release on Nov. 22. Watch the latest trailer here.
Lawrence initially cut her hair a little shorter earlier this year, after she won an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her part in "Silver Linings Playbook." She can be seen with that style in the photo in the middle at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
