Playmate Of The Year 2013: Alexis Fox

As the autumn leaves began to fall we hit the road to the scenic beauty of the Western Cape winelands. The mission: Find a stunning backdrop for a very special photoshoot. The subject: Playmate of the Year 2013.

The beauty: Alexis Fox, our Playmate of the Month in October 2012. Here, in the mysterious landscape of the Overberg region of Southern Africa and baring all for the second time, Alexis was captured by our lenses as our prestigious Playmate of the Year. The leggy brunette has already featured in the pages of PLAYBOY South Africa twice (as Playmate, and in an article on responsible gun ownership in April 2013), but we have never seen the queen of # FriskyFriday and committed work-out wonder look as gorgeous as she does here, in her very own PLAYBOY Playmate of the Year shoot.

Leah Hawker describes Alexis as tall, serene and striking. "She reminds me of an Amazonian beauty-- she has that all-powerful femininity, and yet she is wild at the same time," says our official photographer after she captured the newly crowned Alexis on location at the deserted banks of Theewaterskloof Dam.

Perhaps it's because she was born in the heat of Miami, or it's that she became accustomed to the notoriously humid Durban summers while living there, or perhaps it was Alexis's own red-blooded sexuality that allowed her to brave the dam's cool waters. These pictures attest to Alexis's confidence and poise, and it is for this reason we chose her as our Playmate of the Year. She exudes irrepressible strength, elegant beauty, and the kind of comfort in her own skin that only a Playmate of the Year could own.

"I have wanted to be named Playmate of the Year since I was young. I remember looking through magazines and seeing all of the beautiful women; how confident they looked, and all of the things they hoped to achieve in their lives," says Alexis. "I want to be that girl, one who can inspire others to reach their dreams, to never be afraid to be unique, and to always be proud of who and what they are.".
